What do I need to know about WIF's IRA investment option?

  • WIF does not directly offer IRAs. However, WIF partners with GoldStar Trust Company (“GoldStar”) through which funds can be invested in WIF via a Traditional or Roth IRA.
  • GoldStar will generally accept rollovers or custodial transfers from an existing IRA or qualified retirement plan (e.g., 401k, 403b, pension).
  • Gold Star’s Traditional and Roth IRAs are self-directed, which means you can direct your funds to be invested in WIF.

Our investment interest rates are determined by our Executive Management Team based on various economic and current market factors.

Interest is added to your IRA invested in WIF semi-annually, on June 30 and December 31 each year.

Yes! Interest accrues daily based on the balance of your IRA investment in WIF. If you close your IRA and withdraw all funds, the interest you have earned up to the day of closure will be included in the final amount paid out to you.

GoldStar IRA statements are sent quarterly for free if you are enrolled for online access and have elected electronic statements, otherwise, paper statements will be sent quarterly for a fee. You will need two forms to make an IRA contribution that is invested in WIF.

First, you must complete an Investment Direction Form which may be found by clicking HERE.

Second, you must complete a Bank Draft Request Form. A PDF version of this form may be found under “TRANSACTIONS” on GoldStar’s website by clicking HERE.

Upon completion, please submit these two forms to WIF directly by emailing them to [email protected] or sending them by fax to (317) 774-7321.

To make an IRA withdrawal, please complete the applicable Distribution Request Form found under “TRANSACTIONS” on GoldStar’s website by clicking HERE. Upon completion, please submit this form to WIF directly by emailing it to [email protected] or sending it by fax to (317) 774-7321.

It typically takes 5 – 10 business days to receive your funds.

To change your IRA mailing address, please complete an Account Update Request Form found under “ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE” on GoldStar’s website which may be found by clicking HERE.
